I did this black and white so I could try a new colouring method. After I used a colour layer over top, I was like " nope, not happening." So yeah, I kind of quit. Please don't bash

Time: 10 hours and a half

If anyone has a good tutorial for the color overlay method please link!
Or somehow to add pores that doesnt look disgusting or unrealistic, that would be much appreciated as well! (:

so much detail in the hair hbsaflkl ; w ; how do you do

the only critique i could give is maybe add a bit more shading to the eye whites to make them more 3d? other than that your drawing seems so perfect ; A;

Hello! I come from the forum

I think it would help a bit if you lowered the lightness of the whole image and re-added in some sharp specular highlights on the nose, lips and eyes. As it is now, with the background being 100% bright white, it kind of drowns out the awesome highlights. As for pores and the likes, it's probably best to just ignore them on pretty women or feminine characters. You'll notice fashion models tend to not have pores at all for all the makeup or photoshop post processing that gets piled on. I'm not particularly versed in Paint Tool Sai, so I don't know how you'd go about coloring it

Well, I actually I have been thinking of doing some major editing to make it look even more like the reference photo to see how real it can get. Your advice really helps, at least now I don't have to worry about the pores unless its freckles which Asian girls don't have.
